STEVEN MUSNGI
The stylin’, profilin’, brandin’ and marketin’ son of a gun! And I’m having trouble holdin’ these J’s down!
Companies that struggled with marketing rarely had a marketing problem.
More often, they had a strategy problem, a leadership problem, or simply a lack of clarity about where growth should come from. Marketing was just where the symptoms showed up.
Today I work with infrastructure and industrial companies as a strategic advisor and Fractional CMO. Many of these organizations have strong operational expertise and respected reputations, but they don’t always have clear marketing leadership. My role is to bring clarity, align leadership around growth priorities, and help build marketing systems that support long-term success.
My background combines finance and fine arts, which shaped how I think about business. One side understands systems, economics, and analytical thinking. The other understands positioning, messaging, and human behavior.
Outside of work, my Christian faith influences how I think about leadership and responsibility. I believe business should serve people, leadership requires humility, and growth should strengthen organizations and communities.
And yes, if you’re wondering how to pronounce my last name, you’re not the first.
